The Boy Who Cried Wolf New Haven Theatre reviews
Great band; awesome music; bad, bad audience.
The Orwells started playing to a tough crowd, but I found them to be one of the most interesting openers I've ever seen alive. As soon as they began, I knew they were The Boy Who Cried Wolf followed with a great show, but surprisingly the crowd didn't warm up at all, dancing only to Brianstorm. It felt like nearly everyone except me and the folks in the back was just there to take pictures (I could barely see the stage during some of the slower songs for all the phones held up), not enjoy the music. Overall, 6/10, I'm an enormous fan but this was just not a great crowd to play to. I'm seeing them again in New York tomorrow -- hopefully I can push past the phone cameras and stiff legs to actually see some great musicians play.
